You're probably bracing your self for some rant on me having "enough" of something negative...
But that's not what this is about at all.
It's about having enough.
When is it all "enough"?
In a world of more, more, more, I worry about teaching my son about "enough".
Helping to recognize the abundance that's around him.
Enough.
It means so many things to so many different people.
We sat down and did this FT kids activity.
I was really pleasantly surprised at his list, which included:
Enough stuffed animals.
Enough food.
Enough wii games.
Enough friends.
But the best one?
Enough love.
What are you feeling "enough" of today?

You are raising a super awesome kid there.
His response made me tear up. That is awesome. :)
Awesome kid!
Honestly, I had enough bad stuff today. It was just hard to claw out of it. Luckily, I have enough love from my dh and my doggies. :)
Kids. I have more than enough kids today, LOL
I'm feeling ENOUGH work to do this week........and it's just beginning.....:)
I was thinking vaguely along those lines this past Sunday. Just that with all the day to day hoopla it's easy to get caught up in being aggravated when things don't go smoothly, to always pick out the negative. And I chose to focus on the sheer fact that I absolutely am so filled with love. I have enough love :)
Great thoughts!
Lol at Jayme. I recently watched the movie Babies (focus features). That movie follows the life of four different babies born in four different areas of the world and man, I was reminded at how much we have! I grew up outside the US and was often surrounded by friends in poverty- or what we might consider poverty (dirt floor houses, lack of computer, lack of phone, lack of personal transportation)- and yet, so many of my friends or people I knew were happy. They had enough love in their lives and that was what was important to them. I hope I can instill that into my children whether they have a wii game or not. What a great activity for you to do with your son! You've inspired me to do the same.
Thanks!

Oh, I love it!! What a wonderful idea.
I've been checking your sight since your Canon Rebel contest ended last Friday night. I can't find a thing on who the winner was. Did you post and I'm just blind? (which is possible) Or did I win and nobody told me? Do tell.
.Love those puffy clouds...Awww so sweet and lovely:) Kisses and hugs, darling
Scarves Scarves.
This reminds me of an exercise my 2nd grader told me they did at school one day. They talked about "need" vs. "want" and made a list of the things that they "need" .... his list was Food, Water, Home and my Mom and my Dad and my family. Simple. I love simple, simple feels good . You are such a great example and you got see a reflection of that!
For the great info
I'll be back often.
Thanks!
Have a wonderful and prosperous year!
