I read this too (from Lula's recommendation) it was good. Unsettling, but really good. And I take it there will be more? When you say, "End of book One," then Book Two is implied. Right?
Jeez, I need to finish this book today. I am at the part where Katniss just camped in the willow tree for the first night in the arena. Lula promises it goes faster from here on out. When Gabe goes to school, I am so reading today.
Can you give us a hint as to why this is such a good book? I'm in the middle of Barbara Walter's Audition. Maybe not Crackliterature but at least....I don't know. It's good. If you like biographies and BW is a good writer.
I have it on reserve at the library. I am currently number 7. And I already have two books going. I need to stop reading blogs and get back to reading books :-)
I totally said I would complete this one before I jumped to The Shack so before everyone and their mom reads it before me, which is what happened with Twilight, I am gitting 'er done. I did read chapter one online.
Whomever came up with the teaser first chapter download is an evil marketing genius.
I don't think I'll be on the list for this one though, unless you can talk me into it. Same reason why I have avoided reading The Road - my anxious bones can't handle the scary future! My deepest fear - not being able to feed my children.
You need to trademark that term Crackliture! So we are adding another book to the pile...the ever growing pile...
I saw your comment on Lula's about needing PSU to lose...no no no no. It did make me laugh though ;)You know, I think there is a scenario that could play out should we win the Big 10 that we would play USC in the Rose Bowl. I am assuming that USC will win the PAC-10. That would be wild and fun to watch. Smash mouth BIG 10 football versus a semi-pro team from Hollywood. Oh this season is so much fun for me this year!
I went and looked up this book on Amazon - to order it, of course. and I have to say the description scared the pants off me in many ways. As a fan of Survivor and a clueless tv junkie - I dont know if I could handle it?
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for featuring me on SITS..340 comments yesterday! WOW... I am going to need a 10 step program to get me through withdrawl!
THANKS AGAIN...it was wonderful!

This post is brought to you by our sponsor , “ Always Eat After 7 PM ”. The opinions expressed below are my own. Oh science! I am such a nerd when it comes to data. I love that “ Always Eat After 7 PM ” has plenty of it. Understanding how your metabolism works and interacts, not only with the foods we eat, but the times we eat them is so cool. Joel has done the research and really explains ALL the factors that contribute to weight loss (or gain), hormones, metabolism, etc. The data behind eating breakfast, food portion and size, etc is so interesting. Metabolic rates don't slow down during the night? What?? This video is super helpful to understanding the science behind the book. We've been told so much conflicting info on how to eat, when to eat and what to eat. Joel breaks it all down in his comprehensive and easy to understand book. This post is brought to you by our sponsor , “ Always Eat After 7 PM ”. The opinions expressed below are my own. Following Joel's eating plan and tips has been relatively easy. As someone who wasn't much of a breakfast eater before, transitioning my eating to later in the day was totally doable. One of the things I appreciate most about “ Always Eat After 7 PM ” i s the freedom the plan provides in terms of food choices. I never feel deprived. Its also nice to be able to eat a full dinner with my family and truly enjoying it. Joel includes a great mix of personal experience, motivational talk (you can definitely see why he is a successful personal trainer!) and recipes. For me the recipes are key in my success on any diet or food plan because I'm not a natural chef. I can't just throw some items together and come up with dinner. Haha. So having recipes to follow- especially in the beginning was so important. The other benefit was that I could make dinner for the
Get it? My clever play on words. I'm a "sucker". As in "blood Sucker". I crack myself up. My obsession started last season. I could only dream of it during the summer, as we had no HBO at the summer place. I came back home and watched 4 episodes in one day. Heaven. Bliss. Eric. I am obsessed with True Blood. And, completely and totally devoted to Eric. For those of you not watching True Blood {and living incomplete lives}, Eric is the bad boy version of a vampire. He's tall. He's blonde. He's immortal. He's smokin' hot. He's a "sheriff". {And you know how I like a man in "enforcement".} Sigh. So how about you? What's on your mind these days?
