Gratitude Day 5.

Today has been a bit bumpy, some unrest and debate on the home front.

I am grateful that I know it will pass and if these silly things are the biggest challenge I have at the moment, I am incredibly blessed.

Today, I will be grateful that I know better than to sweat the small stuff.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

There's a reason so many people find comfort in those words. Thanks, I kind of needed that.

Peace to you my dear.

I love that verse and really need to put it on my bathroom mirror. Because I really suck at serenity and acceptance of that which I cannot control. Thanks for the reminder to try harder.

Hope the bumps aren't too big! Those 1st 4 lines were on a plaque I grew up with in my kitchen.
