So last night I was watching tv in bed with the boy.
There is something about his face.
The freckles, the chub, the soft roundness to his eyes.
I.LOVE.THAT.FACE.
"A face only a mother could love." is so full of truth.
Not that my son isn't handsome- he is.
Do people on the street stop and stare in awe of his beauty?
No.
But I do.
Last night, I said, "Can I just tell you something?"
Without looking up he replied, "Yes, mom, I know you love me and my face."
Me: "Do I really say it that often?"
Him: "Mom, 59 times a day is a lot. How about 20?"

Oh that is so sweet. He is adorable and I just love freckles.
Boys and their mamas are so flipping sweet to me. That sounds EXACTLY like something my nephew would say to my sister.
And yes--you should totally love that face because it is adorable. The freckles are killing me. :)
He does have an adorable face!! Your post is super sweet. :)
There's a saying I live by as a Mom. Your child is like a bucket of sand. Your job is to fill that bucket up with so much sand that no matter how many holes the world pokes in it, it will never run out of sand.
That's what we do when we tell them things like that - fill up the bucket.
You're posting! That makes me happy.
What's more? I got to read more about that wonderful boy of yours.
All is good with the world today.
xo
Awwww well he is supper cute!
This post? Is what I love to see. And that sweet boy's face.
Kids embarrass so easily! I think when he's older, though, he'll appreciate it. Is there any sight on earth more beautiful than a sight of someone's own child?
So sweet..when I ask my boys if I can tell them something they roll their eyes and say "yes, I know you can't believe that something so awesome came from something as messed up as you". The love you can feel for a son is overwhelming! Your kid is adorable- just like his mama!
I'm a sucker for freckles. :)
Oh my goodness, that boy is too cute for his own good. I'm so happy that this post was in my reader today!! It was like a breath of fresh air. You're fabulousness is exactly what I needed today.
"How about 20?" I love it!
What a dollface!
What a cutie! I'm sure you can't get enough of that handsome face!
What a lucky duck to have you. And for the record, he does have a wonderful face.
He totally has kissable cheeks!

He is pretty dang cute!
Your boy is beautiful and the things he said was very sweet.
He is so adorable :)... it also sounds like he knows how much you love him, which I think is extremely important.
That made me giggle!! I think it's awesome. I Think my kids are tired of me telling them what cuties they are too. Haha. Stopping in from SITS.
*lol* I know that mothers like to say things like that^^ And reacted the same way as your son I think...but he really is cute!
this is so sweet! stoppin by from SITS, glad i found ur site! it's great!
Love it--I was just doing that the other day, to my #2 son. Cute sprinkling of freckles across his nose, just imprinting his gorgeous 5-year old face in my memory. We've got three boys, but this one has the softest skin in the world, and I tell him that almost daily. :)
Found you through SITS, and I'm glad I did!
Definitely a cutie patutie.
I find myself doing that a lot lately... just stopping and standing in awe of what a lucky mommy I am. Indeed.
Last night Golden Boy said, "Don't say 'I love you honey' You always say that."
but I DOOOOOOOOO
I feel the same away about my "little guy". He's going to be 20 this year!
Ditto. I tell each of my kids they are my fav. and they do the same thing. "I know mom." lol BTW, I am a suckah for freckles!
He does have one cute little face!
What a sweetie!
Just found your blog via SITS!
My little guys are now big guys and they still love to hear me tell them how cute they are and how much I love, love, love, their little faces. Their chests actually puff out a little! Your boys "angel kisses" are adorable. One more way for him to know how much God loves him too.
I know this feeling. I tell my daughter probably 75 times a day how pretty or sweet her face is. or how smart she is etc. I cant get enough of her face though!! I just melt every single time I look at her!
Oh this is so cute!
Superb blog post, I have book marked this internet site so ideally I’ll see much more on this subject in the foreseeable future!
