That sounds like so much fun. Come Monday all your SITStas will be in the corner with you :D
Why wasn't I invited? Wait. 13 year olds. I exceed the age. Plus I don't know your son. :) I'll settle for a full report cuz it sounds like so much fun, and knowing you, I'm sure you went all out. :)
Wow...you sure are a brave Mommy! And a fun one, too! BTW, don't forget that we're starting a Great New Pop'rs Halloween Giveaway at my place today...22 different, fun prizes. Come play, today!
Happy Spring Fling ladies! I am giving away a brand new bag by Etsy vendor "retrofied" I love the Amy Duck fabric she used and the quality is fantastic. The included coin purse is adorable. $68 value! Here is the info from her shop: This hobo bag is made with Amy Butler's Acanthus in Duck Egg on the outside and a coordinating river rock colored cotton twill inside. There is also an attached wristlet - yes - a throw back to the purses we all carried as little girls, so I hope this one makes you feel like a kid again. A large 1 1/2 inch fabric covered buttons and elastic loop hold your Duck Egg Hobo closed. There is arow of three slip pockets inside. Size: 12 inches wide at top 15 inches wide at bottom 22 inch handles 2 inches deep 11 inches tall 2 pleats add extra depth to hold lots. 1 entry, comment 2 entries follow me. Good luck! The winner of this contest and my previous contest will be announced on Wed!
It just dawned on me that I have had some super exciting news that I haven't officially shared! You all know how I feel about the importance of optimism and resiliency in the successes I've had in my life and how important it is to pass those on to my son. Did you know my company is named "Bright Future Managment"? Doesn't get more optimistic than that! A few months ago, I was contacted by a PR firm representing Pepperidge Farm. They were interested in interviewing me for a faculty position for Fishful Thinking , an initiative that offers parents tools for fostering optimism in kids. Now, as the director of one of LA's largest and oldest private summer camps, I get contacted to participate in all kinds of things for kids... usually, I pass, as I want to spend all my free time with my boys. But in this case, the message and the presentation was so incredible, I jumped at the chance and agreed to the interview. Within the first 5 minutes of the inter
If you are here for a quick, happy visit, you may want to move on, I am about to rant. {I do violate my own style and use the "f" word for referring to itself. You'll understand why.} When Heather and I started SITS last year, we thought it would be great to have a place where any women blogger could get featured, find blogs, and participate in a positive, welcoming space. Over time, we have grown at a steady rate, and have received WONDERFUL feedback from our SITStas. Thank you. Recently, I have become active on Twitter, and introduced to a larger version of the blog world. I have been shocked at the snobbery and exclusion that goes on. SITS has kept me very safe and sheltered from this "cut-throat" side of mommy blogging. There is definitely an "in crowd" and as with every "in crowd", a group trying desperately to get in. And, of course, to cement their reign, they need people to ignore or snicker about. I did high school {and whil

Please tell me there will be wine in the corner. WINE, not WHINE!
For Elijah's 7th birthday, I made two cakes; one Yoda, and one Darth Maul. They looked horrible, but the boys loved them.
Watch out for the light sabres! And good luck!
